Research

Online survey research among teachers and trainers of children with special needs, to identify barriers to participation, problems when doing physical activities, their outlook on sports and health problems which occur due to not being active.

Development

During the project duration partners collaborated to create different tools to increase the level of sport activity of children with special needs. The developed programs followed a modular approach to address the special needs of children with specific special needs.

Sport

Project Fit Kids was developed to promote sport for children with special needs. We organized sport events in all project partner countries to promote the developed sport program and other outputs which can be used to increase the level of sport activities of children.

Funding

The project »Fit Kids« was enabled through a grant from the Erasmus+ Program. Which enabled us to obtain partial funding for the realization of this project. We also thank all the volunteers from sport organizations who participated in the implementation of the project. Members of different organizations have helped us in create and implement the best sport tools.

About the project​

The project “Fit Kids” encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities. The main goal of this project is to develop a modular based Physical Education methodology of sport activities, sport games and exercising for children and youngsters with mental and developmental disabilities. Project partners collaborated and exchanged knowledge to create tools to increase the capacity of teachers and youth workers to increase the level of sport activity of children with special needs.
